This is an original signed watercolour by well-known Yorkshire artist Alan Stuttle RCA. A beautiful and atmospheric watercolour showing Castle Howard from the lake under an overcast sky, with a swathe of poppies in the foreground, it is a fine example of Alan Stuttles flair for landscape and setting. Alan Shuttle is now also identified with mediumship and Psychic Art. Castle Howard near York was the location for the 1981 ITV serial of Evelyn Waugh's Brideshead Revisited. This painting was bought new approx 20 years ago in York in The Alan Shuttle Gallery, which has since relocated to Scarborough. The frame measures 76 x 60 cms, the visible painting measures 56 x 37 cms.
